Sales & Refunds Policy

At Inveni, we aim to provide a high-quality book buying experience. Please review our Sales & Refunds policy before placing your order.

All Sales Are Final

All purchases made on Inveni are considered final. Because our books move quickly through distribution centers, we are unable to accept returns for reasons such as:

  • Changed your mind
  • Purchased the wrong format (ex: Paperback instead of Hardcover)
  • Found a better price elsewhere
  • No longer want the item

When Refunds or Replacements Are Allowed

Refunds or replacements are only provided under the following circumstances:

  • Damaged item: The book arrives with visible damage such as torn pages, crushed corners, water damage, or severe defects.
  • Incorrect item: You received a different title, author, edition, or format than what you ordered.

If one of the above applies, we’ll be happy to resolve the issue with either a replacement or a refund.

How to Report a Damaged or Incorrect Item

Please contact us at Customer Support within 7 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item (cover, spine, damaged areas)
  • Photo of the shipping label / packaging (if damaged)

We respond to all support requests within 24 hours.

Replacements vs. Refunds

  • If the item is still in stock, we will send a replacement.
  • If the item is no longer available, we will provide a refund to your original payment method.

Items Not Eligible for Refund or Return

  • Books with minor cosmetic imperfections (small dents, slight corner wear)
  • Opened shrink-wrapped sets
  • Used or read books
  • Digital products (when offered in future)
  • Gift cards
  • Pre-orders after release date
  • Orders reported after 7 days of delivery

Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before they are fulfilled. Once an order is preparing for shipment or has shipped, it cannot be cancelled or recalled.

Shipping Fees

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the issue was caused by Inveni (wrong item or damaged item).
  • Return shipping is free for incorrect or damaged items.
