Since 2012, when he began covering Buffalo's food scene, Andrew has relied on a wide network of community tipsters who share the tastiest local intel-texts about standout dishes, snapshots of menus, and even the first hint of a "RESTAURANT COMING" sign. Some contributors he has never met; others have become dinner companions thanks to his longstanding Tipsters Get Fed policy: if a tip requires in-person investigation, the tipster gets a meal on him. That partnership is how many of the region's best hidden gems are discovered.
